This week's Coffee Break! is a quiz.
Can you name this mystery cake?
Can you name this mystery cake?
My husband came home from the store the other day and I was surprised to see that he had bought the 'special' ingredients for this delicious cake. Right away I knew he was having a craving!
So last night after supper I whipped up this simple little dessert. But this time I dipped out some of the batter into my muffin tin and then put the rest into the bundt pan. The muffins disappeared so fast it was like I had never made them. I guess that leaves the cake for me! ha ha.
Now, here's few hints of colour.... Green & Yellow...
Have fun guessing,
Jessica
**UPDATE** Daisy guessed the secret green ingredient to be Pistachio! Congratulations! For participating in our quiz today Daisy, you have won a $5 gift card to Tim Hortons! Maybe you should get it to go so you can enjoy your beverage with this delicious cake, eh?
Here are the recipe details:
Pistachio Cake
1 Yellow Box Cake mix
1 regular box of Instant Pistachio Pudding mix
4 eggs, slightly beaten
3/4 cup water
3/4 cup oil
1 cup mini chocolate chips (large ones will sink to the bottom)
Mix all ingredients together with an electric mixer until well blended (about 3 minutes). Pour cake into a greased bundt pan and bake for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. When toothpick comes out clean the cake is done. Allow to cool slightly and then turn out of the pan to cool completely. This cake does not need any frosting, however you may like to add a dusting of powdered sugar just before serving. Enjoy.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to read this week's Coffee Break! Please come back next week for another simple treat to share with your friends and family.
