Show & Tell Friday

It's time again for "Show & Tell" at Kelli's. Be sure to stop by here and join in the fun.

This morning I sleepily stumbled downstairs and this is what greeted me in my family room! A warm and cozy fire crackling in the woodstove. We use the stove to heat the majority of our house with during the winter, which is October to mid-June for us! And I would have it no other way. In my opinion, there's no replacement for the comfort of a wood burning stove in a home.

Many a winter evening is spent in our family room sitting by the fire, reading, snoozing, reading, and lots more snoozing. In fact, last night my husband brought home a new Christmas music CD (Charlie Brown's Christmas). So, after a long day of making cookies, visiting, shopping and errands we settled down into our favorite chairs (mine is about 12 inches from the stove), popped in the CD and just relaxed (translation: snoozed). A fine ending to a busy day.

Now please don't forget to visit at Kelli's. She always has something good cooking up.

A really nice wood stove. Believe me I wish we'd have had one during the bad ice storm we had!!!
